When we were only dreaming of cruising, we took a vacation to Hope Town in the Bahamas. Every day, we listened to the cruisers' net on the VHF in our cottage and pretended we were cruisers. We climbed the lighthouse and looked down longingly on the boats moored in the harbor.
A long three years and five months later, we revisited Hope Town in our own boat, embracing the reward that awaits when you just keep cranking.
